===================

- Combed through the [list of packages](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_S4eiNKdvyJilyjJ5GcUNIsNQe-iw4qXuuEnlVIcWhY); discussed w/ David and removed quite some entries from it, including many Rust packages.
- Sent a quick [PR](https://gitlab.com/abologna/fedora-riscv-tracker/-/merge_requests/77) to update Fedora RISC-V tracker.
- Did some research on eGPU docks to connect Tenstorrent ['p100a' card](https://kashyapc.fedorapeople.org/risc-v/boards/images/blackhole-p100a.jpg). They seem to be a popular way to test GPUs for AI use-cases.
- Email discussion with Tenstorrent about how they use Blackhole cards internally.
- Filed a [bug about Grub terminal settings](https://forge.fedoraproject.org/riscv/planning/issues/10) - currently we get some errors the serial console.
- Tried out the Fedora RISC-V [unified kernel](https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/forge-riscv-members/riscv64_unified_kernel/) on my P550 and got soft-bricked.
- Figured out logistics for 24-h remote access to SpacemiT 'K3' hardware.
- Briefly looked at F44 blocker bugs, but didn't manage to allocate meaningful chunk of time to it :/
- Meetings: RISC-V fortnightly program call, CLE, upstream RISC-V distro-integration call.

2026-02-27 14:23:00
- Went through more of list of packages with `ExclusiveArch`; crossed out a few packages. Also investigated the upstream Git repo of [ispc](https://ispc.github.io/) for RISC-V. (It has the arch support, but not turned on by default; still building it to see if it works on Fedora.)
- Discussed with the RISC-V SIG and Fedora docs about migrating the the Fedora RISC-V docs from the wiki to forge.
- Delegated RHT Summit talk to another victim, after some chat with a few RHT-internal folks. It is not worth it (even if a different org is paying) to make trans-Atlantic travel here for this talk. Found another victim who will do our talk.
- Studied a [presentation](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ljyffE8NFIg_T_4NeGktJdq3Yc-x0ZcS/view) from the hypervisor SIG call on KVM virt performance on a recent RISC-V CPU (DP1000 CPU).
- Emails with Tenstorrent about eGPU docks for Blackhole 'p100a' card.

2026-03-02 10:39:00
- Reviewed a [patch](https://forge.fedoraproject.org/riscv/planning/issues/5) to undo a 'debuginfo' workaround I added to Qt6.
- More discussion w/ the RISC-V team on moving docs from Fedora wiki. We agreed that the docs [template](https://gitlab.com/fedora/docs/templates/fedora-docs-template) is not bad, but I'm not sure about AsciiDoc. Also, this docs-moving comes with some big editorial work of cleaning up stuff. So need to allocate time for it
- Filed a [tracker](https://forge.fedoraproject.org/riscv/planning/issues/11) for work related to F44 RISC-V builds.
- RISC-V EU Summit (Bologna) program committee admin work. (I'm surprised they added me to it, but I've warned them that I'm not an expert)

- internal meetings (cle team, quality team sprint meeting, 1x1)
- more investigation/testing on [KDE netinst hang bug](https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2439813), submitted a [workaround](https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-d8b30d5a3b)
- found many freeipa upgrade tests were failing, figured out it was due to an f44 update failing gating so f43 package got ahead, fixed up [the update](https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-b73dee6cac) and proposed a [blocker bug](https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2442429), added the update as a workaround in openQA and restarted failed tests
- fixed a similar issue in rawhide (a samba RC bump was submitted alone, failed gating because it broke the same version-tied dependency in freeipa, so I did a proper [multi-package side tag update](https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-2fb25c3dd3))
- [reported](https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2442475) and [worked around](https://forge.fedoraproject.org/quality/os-autoinst-distri-fedora/commit/7dedce76c87509ced4d60bfa34fe8967645baf53) an occasional #openqa failure where KDE login takes longer than it should
- did some light blocker/FE herding, then requested [stable push](https://forge.fedoraproject.org/releng/tickets/issues/13243#issuecomment-557072) and [candidate compose](https://forge.fedoraproject.org/releng/tickets/issues/13244#issue-96208)
- bit more work on ELN desktop live testing

2026-02-26 18:01:00
- [reported](https://forge.fedoraproject.org/quality/fmf-tests/issues/6) fmf-tests not reporting results for the f44 beta candidate
- checked that anaconda team's webui test thingy had run on candidate compose and reported results (it did)
- did some investigation of the [xdg-desktop-portal-gnome failed startup bug](https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2440238#c7) (it caused some openqa test failures)
- more work on ELN desktop live tests, [it is turning into a bit of a slog](https://forge.fedoraproject.org/quality/fedora_openqa/pulls/122#issuecomment-557253)
- cleaned up some uncommitted openQA needles
- [reported](https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-f5293aa6a6#comment-4562599) a systemd update breaking VT switch

2026-02-27 17:52:00
- herded some blockers/FEs
- restarted some openQA flakes
- converted the AI PR review workflow I'd been copying around repos to a [reusable one](https://forge.fedoraproject.org/quality/workflows/src/branch/main/.forgejo/workflows/ai-review.yml) and converted all the repos to use it (updated [blog post](https://www.happyassassin.net/posts/2026/01/19/ci-and-llm-review-on-fedora-forge-with-forgejo-actions/) to document this), much nicer...bumped the version used to v2.5.0 to get gemini 3.1 pro
- more slogging away at needles for [eln gnome testing](https://forge.fedoraproject.org/quality/os-autoinst-distri-fedora/issues/452), but this is taking way too long
- tried to bisect the xdg-desktop-portal-gnome startup bug further with [very frustrating results](https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2440238#c12)
